Personal Development

Sometimes we just need to take a Break!

I'm on VacationAfter finishing my 30 day challenge, I decided to take a few days off from Blogging.
Some may see the benefit and others may say

I lost momentum.  I really think that sometimes after you complete a goal you need to celebrate.
Celebration can be done in many different forms.

For me it was to simply take a Break!

Now back at it!  When returning from a Break, sometimes you wonder where to start. I decided the best would simply be to start back at the basics.  Basics being, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube! Remember what we learned in the Community over the past 2 1/2 months on building your brand.

Twitter
FaceBook
YouTube

Than as I started reading through all the Tweets, Face Book Post, YouTube Connection Request and All the emails, it took me quite a few hours to catch up. Thats when it really hit me. The exact words I have stated many times before.

“Successful People Form The Habit Of Doing Daily
The Little Things That Unsuccessful People Aren’t Willing To Do”

I do feel that you need to take some time off on occasion, but a week is like a LONG vacation.   You need to plan the time each day to do a little to accomplish a lot.

Set a daily goal to syndicate a few each day, write a post each week and watch your business grow.

Make it a GREAT Day!

Interesting point about how ‘taking a break’ can actually slow your momentum to the point that the break becomes detrimental rather than beneficial.
Thanks for the insight and you’re so right ~ a little bit each day makes a huge difference in the progress of any worthwhile endeavor.

Unclogging ourselves from the usual things we do will refresh our perspective. Oftentimes, great ideas come from a little break. :-)

I applaud you for taking time to celebrate your success. I find it difficult sometimes to take time off. I really appreciated what you had to say in this post. It reminded me of a quote by Zig Ziglar, “I will do today what others won’t, so I can live tomorrow like others can’t.”

    Hi Bill!

It’s fun to be here on your blog getting to know you! You are right….It is easy to lose momentum. I find that I lose momentum just going to bed! LOL!

It is critical to stay current, however, as you said, it is critical to take a break. The problem becomes, getting ready for the break and then catching up after the break! it is often so much work that the break isn’t even worth it.

If anyone has some solutions, I’d love to hear them!

    Very thought provoking post!

    Nancy,

It has been harder to get back in the flow of things. Work can catch you by surprise and next thing you know you miss the little things that you really need to do.

    Hi Bill,
I agree. You have to take a break every now and them to “air” your brains out. When you rest you come back fresh and ready to go again, many times you get better ideas too. So celebrate!
