Discovering My Passion
After attending my first Tribe webinar titled “Dicovering Your Passion”, I spent some serious time giving this some real deep thought.
What is my Passion?
Looking over the past 25 years of my life and looking at the things I do, this question really hit home.
I enjoy spending time with my family. I have 3 daughters and each daughter has 1 brother. My daughters are married and now I have 2 Grand babies. Shhh.. 3rd on the way! We are a close family, I see my grandchildren almost daily. But this is not my passion, it’s some of the benefits my passion.
My passion is what drives me each day. The one thing that gets me up and out of the house each day. Some call it a job, and some days I admit it seems that way, however when I really look at what I do on a daily basis. My job isn’t my passion, its the work I do each day at my job.
You see, I spend my days “Building Relationship” empowering others to make an informed decision on their insurance matters. It gives me great pleasure after working with somebody, whether they buy from me or stay with current coverage. Just so they understand the reason and they’re comfortable with their decisions. I’m blessed today because I learned a LONG time ago to pay it forward. As Zig says “Help enough other people get what they want and you will get what you want”. This is so true!
The true benefit of knowing your passion will assist you on those days when you start getting down. Step back a minute and think, why am I doing this. That is powerful!
I hope this helps others, because it sure helped me to just sit and give this topic some deep thought.
Sincerely,
Bill Hartman
PS It’s harder to say thank you on the net, because some things are growing so fast. I do want to thank the whole tribe and especially the 6 that started this. You have made a big difference in my life. Thank You everyone!

Bill, it’s great that you are following your passion. So many are not. When you choose to follow your passions you have so much to give to others and it’s the giving of value that improves your quality of life.
Good stuff!

This is great. When you don’t have an agenda it is felt by your potential clients and this is bigger than any one transaction.
That is a great approach, you are doing good work over there, keep it up.

That’s fabulous that you’re passionate about what you do…so many people are oblivious to living a life based on your passions, so I’m so glad to hear you’ve found that thing that has you wake up fired up every day! Pay It Forward is an amazing concept ~ also a favorite movie of mine!
And congrats on the next grand-child on the way! (don’t worry, my lips are sealed!)

Bill,
Finding our purpose is very important. It is the thing that will drive us when our passion fades at times. It is a great tie in to Jose Caraballo`s post on the same subject! I look forward to getting to know you and Tribing together!

Great inspiration Bill!
It is so important to really discover what drives us. Not just the things that we hold dear in life, but the things that truly move us. You are absolutely right on when it comes to paying it forward. When helping others is what drives you, you will get back loads in return.
Glad to be a part of the tribe with you.

It is so great you have discovered what your passion is. I have been struggling with that a lot lately. I love what I am doing but not sure it is my Passion. I guess you just get so used to working for a paycheck, it is hard to step back and really define what would truly be your passion whether a paycheck is included or not.

(Congrats!!! shhhh)
This made me smile. I love seeing people live their passion. It shows in their work. That is my favorite quote…Zig… I remind myself of that everyday, and have been reminding myself for the last 3 years. It completely changed my biz and my life.
Thanks Bill… Your last line, gives me chills. That’s my passion! I can totally relate.

Hey Bill,
Great post! It is so important not only to identify your passion, but to also to put it into action! Ironically, we are on the same wave length because I was inspired after a tribe training also to identify my passion.
Congrats on those grandbabies!

I understand the comment, but don’t really see where this is a laughing matter. Maybe a chuckle at the way people have bean fooled into thinking this is a good deal.
I have 1 question. If it so good and the President and Congress really believe that its right for the country. Shouldn’t they lead by example and drop their Plan and join the Exchange.
