I recently received an email from a long ago acquaintance of mine.  This is a gentleman that has over 30 years in the network marketing industry.  He has literally taught thousands of people to reach the top of their game in Network Marketing.  I believe that he has been more instrumental in helpful others reach their Goals and Dreams than any other person I have met.

Time Management seems to be the one thing that can be the hardest to get a handle on.

It’s been 31 days since my last post.  Not that I didn’t have a few thoughts come across my mind, or the fact that I actually did write a few down.  It has been all about time management the past 4  weeks.

There seems to be a lot of things that one should get done, even some things that must be done.  But sometimes its easy to get wrapped up on a big project, launching a new idea.  What ever the situation is, its always come back down to time management.

I know, there are all kinds of Ideas out there to help with this problem and I DO want you to share a few with me. But it seems to come down to priorities at that moment and what takes precedence.

I believe that the most important point that I’m trying to make is, I really appreciate the kind remarks that the Tribe members have made.  I get emails every time somebody leave a comment on my blog.  It is a reminder that you are here and I need to get back to everyone.

Here is my understanding of TSA, what it is and what it can do for you. “My Opinion”

First off, if you are doing any type of network marketing, home based business or simply looking for a way to promote yourself.  TSA is a great way to do so.   But you should ALWAYS keep in mind that to get, you must give!  The more you give the better the return.  I truly believe that TSA was designed for the TRUE Go-Givers in this world.

Christine Casey decided to comment on every Blog that she visited last week.  That was truly amazing, the week prior I visited every Blog in the TSA group.  I would only comment on things I felt I could give a valuable comment back on.  However I syndicated EVERY Blog I visited.  Though Twitter, and Bookmark Share and other avenues people made available.  That being said, I would encourage everyone to syndicate each others blogs and leave comments on those you agree or are aligned with.

The more exposure that you give others, the more exposure you will receive.  I was looking back at the number of comments that I have received and was totally blow away.   Prior to TSA i would get 3 or 4 sometimes 10 tops.  But over the past 5 weeks since join TSA, I’m now getting over 40 comments per week.  ALL thanks to this amazing group!

I personally want to thank Dave and Dawn Cook for the hard work they do each week with TSA.  Your work is not unnoticed. Many if not all really do appreciate it.

What is the reason you chose this one?

You know what I’m talking about.

After spending many years online, I have seen many opportunities come and go. I have even jumped in to a few, only to forget down the road as to the reason why. Do you remember the reason you said this is it.  This could be the one thing that rocks your world. I have one question for you.

What is your WHY?

You know what I’m talking about, that thing that motivates you to work on the things you need to do daily for your business.   This is a major question.   If you don’t know the WHY the HOW doesn’t matter!  You can have the greatest business available in the world but if you don’t know why your doing it nothing matters.  You will eventually fail.

It was 1984 that I discovered my WHY.  I was 20 years old and just celebrated my 1 year anniversary.  Melisa  was working at a local grocery store and I, well I was still working at one of Fort Wayne, In oldest land marks Coney Island Wiener Stand.  A place that started in 1914, selling Hot Dogs and Chili and 6 oz Cokes.  I started there at age 13 washing dishes.  Anyway I’m rambling, back to the why.

A month later Melisa gave birth to our first child.  Ms Cortney weighed in at 4 lbs. 11 ozs. She changed our world!   Shortly thereafter Melisa was told they were closing the store.  I knew I had to make some changes.   My wives cousin introduced me to a business opportunity.  I took a week off to check it out, do some ride alongs and watch him in action.  I decided I can do this. Tried to give a two week notice but my boss said go for it.  Today he’s 86 and still running Coney Island like he has for 50+ years. It was June 10, 1984 when I quit my job and went full time in the insurance business.  It was tough in the beginning.  3 weeks after i started my cousin quits.  Couple years later he is doing Carnivals selling Hot Dogs.

What was my Why?

It was my FAMILY! To provide food, clothing and shelter for them.   To this day it’s always been about the Family.  Because of the WHY, my kids have always been blessed to have mom be able to stay at home.  It’s not always been easy, but it’s been a great ride!

I’ve shared a little of my past, let’s talk about YOUR Future.  Do you want to be more successful in your business?  Live a more happier life.  I submit this one idea to you.  Take some time today, or this week and think about WHY you’re doing what you’re doing.  Get to know your WHY, write it down.  Share it with somebody.  Because my friend, until you know the why, the how doesn’t matter.

I have often wondered whats the difference between success and failure.  Many would have you believe that its Money.  Others would say having Good Luck.  Yet some say being born in the right place and right time.

While all of these may or may not play a factor in success or failure.  We most define what is success? What is Failure?

Some of the greatest minds in history have died BROKE!  Yet through some of their accomplishments we look at them as Successful.  Some of the richest people in history have died all alone and dead broke.

I look at Success as a State of mind! Being happy with who you are and enjoying the life that is around you.  Being thankful for what you have all the while striving to leave the world a little better off than when you arrived.

I look at Failure as a State of Mind! Not happy with who you are.  Always blaming others or complaining that they have something that you don’t   It’s not fair, or if only I had the opportunities they had.

Do you see where I’m going with this?  Do you understand that we are all either Successful or Failures.  But it is really up to one self.   Many people look at Sam Walton as a very successful man.  Look at all the wealth he created! All the stores he opened.  All the jobs he helped create.  My personal opinion is that his real wealth lied in the fact he was who he was.  Drove an old Pickup, didn’t try show off and look a part of something that he wasn’t.  Not that he couldn’t afford to, but it was who he was.

Where is your state of mind?  Are you a success or are you a failure?  See the truth of the matter is, only you can truly determine rather you are a success or failure.  If you try to live up to other peoples expectations, you will always come up short!  The only person that really matters is the person staring you back in the mirror.

Reminds me of a story I once heard.  There was a annual stockholders meeting in a little two bit town in the hills.  People traveled from all over the world to this little town.  After a few years some of the Stock holders complained.  They stood up at the meeting one after one and said I so and so from out west.  I own 100,000 share s of Stock and would like to move this meeting next year.  Another stood and said I own 200,000 shares and I would like to move the meeting.  After 5 or 6 people stood, a small gentlemen in Bib Overalls stood and said I own 3 million shares and would like to invite all of you back to our town next year.

IPad and Social Media

I have tried to justify the purchase of the IPad.   I have found myself walking into Best Buy just to look and play with the device only to walk out on four different visits.  Will it help Social Media?   Imagine the possibilities, being able to get online virtually every where you have a phone signal. Not having to plug in an air card or tethering a cellular phone.   Just push a button and you’re connected.

Connect with FaceBook, Twitter and YouTube pretty much anytime you want.

Syndication at its finest!  Imagine sitting in your favorite restaurant and reading the newspaper or a book in vivid color.  Connecting with friends and family on Facebook at anytime of the day.   Reading and sharing valuable content from your friends blog.

Draw backs seem to be that you do have some limits when it comes to certain software.
You may not be able to connect any DVD Drives to it but this is not really designed to replace the work horse of the the laptop.  It really seems to be really for the ease of having fast access to the things we may do to pass the time.

I do see the benefit for somebody like myself that travels to the country sometimes and can’t seem to get internet access very easy using a Mac.  To tether with a cell phone, I need to run my Mac on Windows Platform.  Defeating my desire to get away from Windows.  One drawback I have concluded is that the IPad doesn’t work real well logging into my blog and created a new post.  Any ideas from anybody on that one would be appreciated.

In conclusion, I feel that the IPad is a GREAT tool that will benefit the individual that would like to take their Social Media to a new level.  However it will not replace your need for the Laptop or Desktop, which ever you prefer.  But I do love my new toy!

The little things we do can make a big difference.

I believe that we all have the ability to make a difference in other peoples lives if we really look for them. When we do those things we will always be rewarded in ways we can never imagine.

Do you want to do some little things that will effect others and give you some real pleasure.  Make you feel better without others really knowing what your doing.  Here are a few examples:

Have you heard of: Random Act Of Kindness Week? As your sitting in a restaurant, look around, pick somebody out and simply pick up their tab.  You will more than likely leave them speechless, but later you will have a great feeling about it.

Melisa and I was sitting in a Cracker Barrel a while back and she reached over and asked a couple for their bill.  My wife explained that we simply like to do this about once a month and tonight was their night.  They were speechless than explained to us that it was their anniversary and the lady started to cry.  What a great feeling!

A year or so ago a young lady came up to me at church.  She asked if I remembered who she was.  She went on to say that 20 years ago she was able to attend an Amusement park with the youth group when Melisa and I paid her way.  I had totally forgot about it.  But she had never forgotten the event.

What is it that you can do for somebody else that may make a BIG Difference in their life without expecting anything in return. Who is that one person that you can reach out to that you haven’t seen in some time. Take the time this day, this week or this month to do something for just one person and you to will seem to have the Midas Touch.

Sometimes we just need to take a Break!

After finishing my 30 day challenge, I decided to take a few days off from Blogging.
Some may see the benefit and others may say

I lost momentum.  I really think that sometimes after you complete a goal you need to celebrate.
Celebration can be done in many different forms.

For me it was to simply take a Break!

Now back at it!  When returning from a Break, sometimes you wonder where to start. I decided the best would simply be to start back at the basics.  Basics being, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube! Remember what we learned in the Community over the past 2 1/2 months on building your brand.

Than as I started reading through all the Tweets, Face Book Post, YouTube Connection Request and All the emails, it took me quite a few hours to catch up. Thats when it really hit me. The exact words I have stated many times before.

“Successful People Form The Habit Of Doing Daily
The Little Things That Unsuccessful People Aren’t Willing To Do”

I do feel that you need to take some time off on occasion, but a week is like a LONG vacation.   You need to plan the time each day to do a little to accomplish a lot.

Set a daily goal to syndicate a few each day, write a post each week and watch your business grow.

Make it a GREAT Day!

30 days have now come and gone.

It seems like yesterday that I made the decision to start this challenge.  Looking from that day forward, I would question and say to myself that 30 days is a long time.  Hind sight is always 20/20 and you to will question where the time has gone.

Today being day 30, I wanted to reflect on a few of the topics I have posted.

It really has amazed me the comments that I have received from this challenge.  The encouragement that I have received from all my NEW online friends has been unbelievable.  I have found some really great people online that continue to help me become all that I can be.

If you haven’t started or thought about taking on this challenge, I would recommend that you consider it.

Today has been a very interesting day.  I had the privilege of meeting Phil Troyer at a breakfast meeting.  Phil is running for the 3rd district congressional seat in Indiana.   Than at 6:30 p.m. I attend a local Meet n Greet with Paula Hughes.  She is running for the Mayors position in Fort Wayne, In 2011.  What a honor it was to meet both of these people.  To sit and hear them answer questions with the local people of the community.

You Gotta Have The Want To

The title of this post actually comes from a Book written by the late Rev. Allan Oggs.  This was a man that had a disability that would have kept many down.  He had limbs that he actually dragged around, nut never let it hinder him.  He would make light of it at times and even used it to his advantage.

You Gotta Have The Want To is a key to every successful thing we can do.  It can make or break the very results of every endeavor.  Imagine trying to run a business when you really have no Desire or Want To in the outcome.

We live in a time where opportunities abound.  People have some of the greatest resources at their finger tips yet live a life of failure.  What is the root cause of this?  What separates those that truly have and have not.  Many believe that they were simply born on the wrong side of the tracks.  They didn’t have a silver spoon when they where born.

I disagree with this philosophy. We live in the greatest era of mankind. People can go to their local library and get books on just about every topic they desire.  Many Libraries will actually go and purchase books that they don’t have on hand and you will be the first to read it. People have the internet in their homes on their cell phones.

Free Information is all around us.

What really separates the have and the have nots is really simple.  You Gotta HAve The Want To!  I recently saw some information regarding the number of hours that kids use the internet, video games and TV.  UNBELIEVABLE!  Some may spend as much as 40 hours a week using this technology. Can you imagine the what you could accomplish if you truly spent that much time each in a productive manner?

In the video I spoke of a young man that I believe has the desire, He’s Got The Want To” to succeed. I gave him a printed copy of Katie Freilings Manifesto.  We spoke about looking at ways he can better his life.  He literally stands and listens to music 6 – 9 hours a day.  Imagine the opportunity he has, if he will change his programming from music to self help audio books.  He spends 3 hours a day on frivolous online activities.  Imagine if you could harness that time toward good works.  WOW what an opportunity!

If he decides to Really put “The Want To” into action, I will be introducing him to you.
