QR’s – What is it? Imagine the possibilities:
I started seeing these funny looking symbols showing up on business cards, website and magazines just to name a few. I really didn’t know how they worked but starting getting intrigued about them. So I started doing a little research, I use the word little because I actually started browsing on my IPhone. Within 15 minutes i created my first QR to this website.
I started thinking about the possibilities and my mind starting going crazy! So for you and me, I’m going to insert one into this Blog Post.
If you have a Smart Phone you will need a QR Reader app. I use the QR Reader for IPhone from the APP Store. I think you will really enjoy and start seeing more of this being used.
For those that wish not to use the QR Reader, I have insert the Video for you.
My Monday Morning Jolt Interview
I have truly been amazed of the things I have been opened up to since starting this online venture.
Watch the video, leave a comment on the Video, than please share with others. I would appreciate a comment here as well. Tell me how you use or could use the QR marketing for yourself.

QR Codes are getting huge! Best Buy has them on your product descriptions now, and Google places prints them out when retailers put the Google places sticker in front of their store.

Bill, we’ve started to use the qr code with our signatures on email responses, as well as product information on tags. I use the “barcode scanner” app on my smart phone – and like it very much. I use http://zxing.appspot.com/generator/ for making my qr codes. Please share all the different uses you discover!

Currently I have only tested it for my website by posting it a couple of times in FB. I will be creating a new business card with QR Coding embedded on them.

There is so much power in those little Codes. Try putting one on a picture or a greeting card. It is amazing the look that people give when they see it in action.

Hi Bill,
You’re right, these are beginning to show up a lot more in some new places. we were at Home Depot the other day looking at plants for the yard and I scanned the QR code on the plant and got a ton of info for it.
The uses in business are really only limited by your imagination. I’m adding them to my business cards right now. It will lead to a video about the company I’m with. I really think they’re starting to catch on and people now know what they are.
Thanks for sharing this so more will learn about them.

Hi Bill,
I enjoyed watching your Monday Morning interview, and I am also intrigued by the QR codes. I have not used them yet, but I am a “Sender of Cards” for the Send Out Cards company, which now offers custom QR codes on the cards. Thus I could send a card with a QR code that links to a personal video I make. I am looking forward to experimenting with that technology.
Thanks for the information. I hope to get to know you better through the TSA.

Buddy,
Send Out Cards will currently allow you to link a YouTube Video within their system. I actually uploaded a picture of my Monday Morning Jolt QR that I made with Goo.gl and sent a card using it.
Worked wonderful! Using Send Out Cards gives the Short Code url as well as the QR code. It is cool!

Uncertain how I would use QR’s in my business. Any suggestions?

Hi Bill, I can honestly say this is the first time I have come across QR coeds – very intrigued. You prompted me to go off and research more on exactly what they were and how they work, so thanks

What in your experience has been the response for you using these cods. I can totally see the possibilities for them I am just wondering how educated ‘Joe Public’ is at the moment and whether they would know much about them.
Fascinated to learn more – thanks

Mandy,
I have had some great fun with the QR codes. I actually started using them just a few weeks back. I have place one on my business card that takes them directly to my Insurance website.
I use Send Out Cards and have sent a couple of cards with QR codes embedded in the card. I started using goo.gl with my GMail / Google account. It allows me to shorten and track the results of open rate. Have Fun with it!

Hi Bill,
QR codes are certainly the rage these days. I am really behind in that I have a stupid phone
They are really helpful for larger companies who are already doing email or direct marketing campaigns. They add a lead qualifying function if set up in a way where the URL of the QR code takes them to a page asking for their name and email address to get some sort of incentive. There are some very creative things being done with QR codes and I see them becoming more and more popular as more innovative uses of them are revealed.
I am hoping by the time you read this, my blog will be back up and running. I am in the process of switching hosts and the files are still transferring….

Hi Bill,
QR Codes are popping up all over the place. I have one on my business card and when the card is scanned I’ve programmed it to display my contact information including email, telephone, address, and my Fan Page. I heard the QR’s will grow and manifest for awhile, but there is actually a new technology that is in the works that is more advanced. Technology is amazing. Thanks for your video and article.

QR Codes have great potential. I do not have a live application today but am working on one using a new type of doorhanger. The advantage of the doorhanger is can target market to a specific demographic. Thanks for sharing your application.

Hi Bill,
We love QR codes, too! We are seeing them everywhere now… they are a great and useful novelty! There are so many places to print them on, and I don’t think people ever get tired of seeing them and scanning them…
When we got some plants from Home Depot some weeks ago, it was great to see that in order to have more info on the plant we could simply scan the QR code and see all we needed to know… this type of technology doesn’t cease to amaze us!
Thanks for your post!

Laura,
When a friend of mine shared the QR code concept with me and Send Out Cards, I quickly put one together and uploaded the image into my SOC system and created my own. This was actually before they released it. LOL SOC’s QR is ok but I prefer to upload mine as an Image for tracking purposes. LOL
