My last Blog post was all about using Mobile friendly websites aka wmjhartman.mobi.

This tool was introduced to me by a few different people across the web and locally here in Fort Wayne, In.
After looking at a number of Sites, the one thing I noticed was they look nice but how do I get people to access them.

Heres the Problem – as more and more mobile applications become available, how do I get you to open my mobile app / site?

A friend of mine recently bragged about having 240 plus applications on his smart phone.  How do I get him to open mine at noon on any given day?  Than it hit me!  Let’s add another tool to the mix.

First – They save your site to their homepage on their phone or add your mobile phone to their favorites.

Second – Heres the SUCCESS factor, the tool that makes it all happen.  TEXT Program that they opt into via their mobile phone.

Here is an example that makes it happen:  Local coffee chop called “New Ground Coffee Company”  Advertises in the shop for people to subscribe to their Mobile VIP Club – text NGCC to 90210, immediately they receive a text response.  ( try it now  -   you can always opt out )  Now they can send specials and promotions via text to your phone.

Now if he sends a text that includes a link that will open directly to the COUPON on the site, he will increase traffic to his site and STORE.

Mobi Sites

A short while back a friend of mine was sharing the concept of Mobile Friendly Websites.  I have always considered my website to be Mobile Friendly.  Not knowing exactly what he was referring to, I asked for more info.  Than he shared with me a number of business websites, than said lets take a look at them on your Mobile Phone.  Needless to say, they were very hard to navigate, read and many components simply didn’t work.

Over the past 5 or 6 years I have dabbled with building and maintaining a few sites. Being intrigued with technology as I am, I decided to start looking at different sites on my phone.   WOW, What an eye opener!   Knowing that you only have a few seconds to keep someones attention, I knew that this was wrong. Have you ever looked at your site on your Mobile Device?

Here is a Mobile Site solution that another friend, “Rob and Glyna Humm shared with me.  Now try it on your mobile phone!  ”www.makeitmobile.mobi” They have done a wonderful job marketing it to businesses in their area.  What a GREAT Tool!  Thank you Rob and Glyna!

15 Months ago I started my online Networking Adventure. It has been an amazing ride thus far! I have made some GREAT Friendships and learned a lot from the Empowered Tribe. I do have to admit tho, there are times that it can get all away from you.

Sometimes I feel that I haven’t been able to keep up. Posting more than every other week and sometime only once a month. I’m sure that many of you have felt the same frustrations. That is the reason for this post!
