The True Scam Behind Network Marketing
First of all let me start by saying I believe in network marketing.
But the truth is, there are people out there that don’t.
MLM It's a Pyramid
Lets talk about how they were brought into network marketing.
I get emails on a daily basis that say. Short Cut the system. We build your downline. Invest $5.00 and start earning $5,000.00 next month. The sad thing is, many people buy into this type of hype. When nothing happens, they blame network marketing.
What is Network Marketing Really?
In it’s simplest form – Just another way to move or market a product or service. Thats It!
How does it work?
You join a company and start sharing the story. It’s not a “Get Rich Quick” scheme. It’s a “Get Rich For Sure”, if you work the right system. The reality is, you have just created a JOB for yourself. Many of you are screaming at the thought of that word. Let me ask you a few questions.
- If you never put a system in place, will you get distributors?
- If you never put a system in place, will you move product or services?
- If you never create true duplication, will you create true walk away income?
Bottom line is that “Successful people form the habit of doing daily the little things that unsuccessful people won’t do”.
Truly Successful people involved in Network Marketing have the Freedom and Time to WORK THERE BUSINESS when and where they choose to. At some point theymay be able to walk away and see their income still grow. But most of them love the JOB / LIFE they created.

You got it right Bill. Get rich really places the emphasis on the wrong thing. I like that old saying “I make money the old fashion way, I earn it.”

I agree there are plenty of offers to get something for nothing or for very little work. Using a great system and consistent effort will produce the desired benefits.

This is so true Bill – there are no get rich quick realities! I get so tired of seeing people promising great riches with no effort – so many people fall for that garbage and then wonder why they aren’t millionaires the next month. The only sure way to success is to work – HARD. Thanks for this – maybe it will serve as a wake up call to someone:)

HI Bill. Great post. I have been with my MLM since 1970 and mostly you are so right on. I would differ with you slightly. If you use Robert Kyosaki’s concepts, the person who opens a business, goes into a profession such as a doctor, lawyer, etc. is creating their own job. True they can’t get fired, but they are still trading their time and expertise for money. When they stop working, the money stops coming in. Many never take vacations because of this.
The person who creates their network marketing business, is creating a business system, which if done as you lay it out, will ultimately free them from having to work that job either for the most part, or if they build strong enough and large enough, they can simply be retired. They may want to maintain contact through newsletters or emails, but they can be free of the day to day “must do” work. This can not happen if one just creates a business, thus insuring job security.

You are definitely right about the ability to retire if you build it properly. The crazy thing is, I see most that have build a strong MLM business fall in love with what they do and just continue doing it. LOL But you are right in stating the difference in JOB. My reference was more people don’t even treat it like a JOB but rather a hobby.
