Personal Development

Time Management seems to be the one thing that can be the hardest to get a handle on.

It’s been 31 days since my last post.  Not that I didn’t have a few thoughts come across my mind, or the fact that I actually did write a few down.  It has been all about time management the past 4  weeks.

There seems to be a lot of things that one should get done, even some things that must be done.  But sometimes its easy to get wrapped up on a big project, launching a new idea.  What ever the situation is, its always come back down to time management.

I know, there are all kinds of Ideas out there to help with this problem and I DO want you to share a few with me. But it seems to come down to priorities at that moment and what takes precedence.

I believe that the most important point that I’m trying to make is, I really appreciate the kind remarks that the Tribe members have made.  I get emails every time somebody leave a comment on my blog.  It is a reminder that you are here and I need to get back to everyone.

THANK YOU for that!

    Hi Bill,

I can 100% relate to your topic as this is a little of what I’ve personally been experiencing these past couple of weeks – putting too much on my plate, running out of time & not getting things accomplished. Thanks for reminding me that time management (for anything you do) is key to getting something done! :-)

    Christine

P.S. I had noticed you’d taken a bit of break these past few weeks, and I have missed reading your new posts. :-)

Hey Bill! It can get so crazy and overwhelming in this whole internet marketing world. I have run into issues a few times too with over committing myself. My saving grace is having daily lists to keep me on task and setting small goals. I hope things are good with you and we will see you back posting soon.

Thank you Lionel for your comment. Social media seems to be the wave of the future. If you connect with a few of the people around my site, you can learn from some real masters. Feel free to contact me and I may have some further information that will help you with a learning curve.

HI, I believe this is the first time I’ve had a chance to visit you here.

Prioritization helps to get the proper mindset and that kind of depends on who you really follow and mentor with. We gain habits from our personalities as well as from others.

Bill – It is ok to step back every once in awhile especially when you have as much going on as you do! Give yourself a break! You are always there to lend a hand to anyone that needs it – believe me I know and appreciate you!

Hi Bill Great Blog you have here – my first visit.

Its a funny one the old time management conundrum – I’ve come to believe there’s a balance between being busy and being productive – sometimes doing very little but hugely useful that impacts on your life vision and purpose can be so much more important than a week spent managing the trivial.

There’s a whole world of distraction in this online sphere – but even random idle surfing often leads you to places unexpected – like TSA for instance

Look forward to popping back here again soon

Cheers Kiaran from mostly Sunny Perth!

    Bill,
Glad you were with us tonight on our Tribe Tuesday call. Sometimes the accountability to the group can prompt the fact that I need to get a post done. I finished mine for this week about 30 minutes before our call.

Time management can be an ongoing thing. For me, I get it figured out for awhile and then things change again. I have a hard time adapting to the new things and letting go of the old.

I started using a DMO recently. Some days it works…some days it never happens. And so the story continues…

    Hi Bill,

It is difficult to remain focused. There are so many distractions, from FB, to skype, to phone calls, to just having to answer the doorbell for the letter carrier. Most of the time, I am just putting out the biggest fire first.

I think it would help to prioritize the night before.

    Nancy,

I do concur with the distractions! This can easily overwhelm a person if allowed to continue. Sometimes we have to just shut some things off for a while.
